About Me

Untitled

I experience great joy from supporting people to know themselves more fully, create a life they truly feel happy with, heal trauma and connect with who they are at a deep inner level.

I have a professional diploma in therapeutic counselling, having qualified in 2010.  I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) (This means that I meet their standard of practice and am committed to working within their ethical frameworks)

I work online and via the telephone with adults aged 18 and over with a range of life experiences and difficulties.  I have particular experience and training of working with  complex trauma and abuse.

I use an integrative approach based upon what I believe will work for you.

I will listen to your experience and draw upon relevant counselling ideas to support your exploration. These will be offered as an invitation to help you understand your experience more deeply. I will provide a space for us to create a relationship that feels compassionate, respectful and constructive.

In addition to my private practice, I worked for Somerset & Avon Rape and Sexual Assault (SARSAS) counselling survivors of abuse. I have also provided counselling and crisis support for a Sexual Assault Referral Centre,  as well as working on the National Violence Helpline (Women's Aid) and supporting victims of crime.

Since qualifying I have completed many different training courses to ensure my skills and knowledge are up to date, which includes qualifying as an Internal Family Systems therapist in 2024.

I hold professional insurance and I am DBS checked.
