About Me

I experience great joy from supporting people to know themselves more fully, create a life they truly feel happy with, heal trauma and connect with who they are at a deep inner level.

I have a professional diploma in therapeutic counselling, having qualified in 2010.  I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) (This means that I meet their standard of practice and am committed to working within their ethical frameworks)

I work online and via the telephone with adults aged 18 and over with a range of life experiences and difficulties.  I have particular experience and training of working with  complex trauma and abuse.

I use an integrative approach based upon what I believe will work for you.

I will listen to your experience and draw upon relevant counselling ideas to support your exploration. These will be offered as an invitation to help you understand your experience more deeply. I will provide a space for us to create a relationship that feels compassionate, respectful and constructive.

In addition to my private practice  I work for Somerset & Avon Rape and Sexual Assault (SARSAS) counselling survivors of abuse.  Previously I have provided counselling and crisis support for a Sexual Assault Referral Centre , worked on the National Violence Helpline (Women's Aid) and supported victims of crime.

Since qualifying I have completed many different training courses to ensure my skills and knowledge are up to date.

I hold professional insurance and I am DBS checked.

You can contact me by email or message me on my phone. My contact details at the bottom of this page. I will get back to you the same day and we can set up a free initial online consultation. In this consultation we will focus on:

  • Your reasons/feelings for seeking therapy now

  • Any feelings/behaviours you might be worried about

  • Your goals for therapy

  • Any questions you have for me about therapy, about me and how I work

If we both feel we can work together we then schedule your first therapy session and agree how often we are going to meet. We usually meet weekly at the same time for 50 minutes. Sessions cost £50
